In all Mr. Vara has designed and built 3 YMCA facilities ranging from 75,000sf to over 100,000sf. Additionally he has designed several other as of yet unbuilt facilities. The most recent YMCA project houses some truly unique facilities. A fully fitted demonstration kitchen and training facility designed in collaboration with Wegmans. This feature highlights a unique approach to a fitness facility design. A blending of fitness, nutrition and healthcare. The later is highlighted by a 2,000sf physical therapy gymnasium. More than simply one stop shopping, the facility harmonizes these symbiotic functions.
