Prior to pursuing his passion for architecture, Mr. Vara worked alongside his father, a master carpenter. The focus of the family run business was residential construction. From small additions, to new residences, the process of constructing helped refine his understanding of how buildings work.

With this background, it was only natural, that when he pursued architecture, residential design would play a role. During the following years, Charles applied his knowledge to a wide variety of residential projects. From modest additions to  multifamily to million dollar custom residences, his unique approach to design and document production has been finely honed. The process has never become routine though.
