New Resident Wing Corridor

This project was designed to bring the Home up to ADA standards and NYS Code.  The design proposed to eliminate the 21  4-bed Wards, to create adequate space for  resident  toilet rooms, create  (3)  44-bed and (2) 43-bed Nursing Units,  for a total of 218 beds.

Additions  to  the  first and second floors  have  been added at the east  and  west ends of the facility, as well as the front entrance area.  Existing  interior  spaces have been  remodeled to create single and double bed resident rooms.  Existing  masonry  window openings have been retained in  an effort to  control costs, resulting  in rooms of varying sizes, but all are of  adequate  space for resident care.  Likewise, private bathrooms of varying sizes and shapes to meet A.D.A.  standards are provided  in each  resident room.  New and  remodeled  spaces  have been stacked, to achieve plumbing economies where possible.
